Roberto Poli

Roberto Poli is Associate Professor of Philosophy of Science at the University of Trento (Italy). He graduated in Sociology (B.A., with honors) at the University of Trento (Italy) in 1980 and obtained a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Utrecht (Netherlands) in 2001.
Poli has been awarded the first UNESCO Chair in Anticipatory Systems, is fellow of WAAS—World Academy of Art and Science and STIAS—Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study. Poli coordinates the research unit eVita—Età della vita (Ages of life) and is Director of the master in “Previsione sociale” (Social Foresight) of the Department of Sociology and Social Research.
Poli is editor-in-chief of Axiomathes (Springer), and editor of the series Categories (De Gruyter). Poli is member of the editorial board of the journals Futures, European Journal of Futures Research, Balkan Journal of Philosophy, Cognitive Semiotics, and Meinong Studies.
